1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 Tsp. baking soda
1 c. margarine softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. quick oats
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa,
baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine margarine,
brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one
at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in
flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, oats, and nuts. Drop by
rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes
for chewy cookies, 12 minutes for crispy cookies.
