2 eggs, beaten 2 c. sugar 2 c. oil 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 c. broken pecans or walnut pieces 4 c. peeled and sliced apples Caramel Sauce: 1/2 c. butter 1 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 evaporated milk 1 tsp. vanilla Cake: Beat together eggs, sugar, and oil in large bowl. In another bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Batter will be thick. Stir in nuts and apples. Spread batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve warm with Caramel Sauce. Caramel Sauce: Combine butter, flour, sugars, and evaporated milk in saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla; cool.
