2 cups whole wheat
6 cups water
1 Tbsp. anise seed, ground

Pick clean and rinse whole wheat. Add water and cook over medium
heat for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Add anise seed 15 minutes
before removing from heat. Serve hot with broth in individual soup
bowls. Add sugar, nuts, and raisins to taste.
