Shredded Wheat: 1 box shredded wheat (12 large biscuits) 2 cups milk 3 Tbsp. rendered butter Heat milk and quickly dip in biscuits. Place them in a large saucepan with the butter and crumble between hands or with a large spoon while over low heat. Mixture is ready to use when pressed in hand and stays together. Butter a 9" x 9" baking dish and press half the knafee mixture in pan for the bottom layer. Spread nut mixture over the bottom layer for filling. Spread remaining knafee mixture over filling for top layer. Press down lightly. Cut in diamond shape pieces. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Pour cooled syrup over hot Knafee. Filling: 2 cups chopped walnuts 1/2 cups sugar 1 tsp. orange blossom water Mix ingredients together and set aside. Use as directed. Syrup: 2 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 tsp. orange blossom water Few drops of lemon juice Combine sugar and water in saucepan and cook over low heat for approximately 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add lemon juice and orange blossom water. Cool and use as directed.
