Pudding: 1/4 lb. filo dough 4 cups milk 3/4 cup farina 3 eggs 1/2 cup sweet butter,melted 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Heat milk. In a medium size bowl beat the eggs well. Add the farina, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour 2 cups of the hot milk a little at a time to the mixture. Pour all of the mixture in the saucepan with the hot milk stirring constantly until thick. Butter the bottom of a 9x13 pan and lay a sheet of the filo. Butter each layer until half of the dough is used. Spread the pudding over all, then add the remaining filo sheets buttering each layer again. Score with a sharp knife to desired size and shape. Bake in pre-heated 375 degrees F oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven, pour the cool syrup over while still hot. Syrup: 3 cups water 2 cups. sugar Juice of half lemon Dissolve sugar in water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Let cool.
