Set aside to rise for one hour. Drop by the spoonful, into pan of deep hot oil and fry until brown. Dip immediately into cool syrup. Syrup: 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Few drops orange blossom water (mazahar) Bring sugar and water to rapid boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add lemon juice and orange blossom water a few minutes before removing from heat.
