MEXICALI BREAD CASSEROLE

1 1/2 Lb Ground Beef
1 Pkg Taco Seasoning Mix
2 8 Oz Taco Sauce (1 hot and 1 mild)
1 15 Oz Can Tomato Sauce
1 12 Oz Can Whole Kernel Corn
1-2 Cans Diced Green Chillies
1t Salt
1 1/2C Buttermilk
1 Box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
1C Flour
1C Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
2 Eggs (beaten)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. cook and stir meat until brown. Add taco
seasoning and taco sauce. Stir in tomato sauce, corn, green
chillies and salt; heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer while
preparing cornbread topping. Place in pan, corn muffin mix, flour,
buttermilk, eggs and cheese; stir batter until smooth. Place meat
mixture in 9x13 inch pan and pour cornbread topping on top. Place
in oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes
out clean. Delicious plain or with lettuce and/or sour cream on top.
