1 Baked or Store Bought Angel Food Cake
1 Pkg Strawberry Jello (flavor of choice)
1/2 C Sugar
1Pkg Fresh Strawberries (fruit of choice)
Cool Whip or Whipping Cream
Cut off top of cake (about 3/4 inch layer. Dig out around the
inside, to about 1/2-3/4 inch around outside to center hole. Do
not cut to close to edges as the weight of filling will cause bulging.
Dissolve Jello, sugar, salt in boiled water. Chill until
slightly thickened. Set bowl of Jello mixture in a large bowl
partly filled with ice and water. Whip mixture until fluffy. Add
1C whipped cream and 1C of strawberries. Fold. Pour into the
center of the cake but not overfilling. Place top of cake back on
and frost with whipped cream or cool whip. Garnish with
strawberries. Place in fridge to chill before cutting. Place the
left over pieces of cake into the left over mixture for a dessert
You can use any kind of Jello and fruit or use pudding and
marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts.
