4 McIntosh Apples (med size)
2/3C Grape Nuts Cereal
2T Brown Sugar
2T Cold Butter (cubed)
1/3C Walnuts (chopped)
2T Currants or Raisins
Vanilla Ice Cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut out around the stems of the apples, and
scoop out the inside to about half way down the apple removing core
and seeds. Cut off the bottom of the apple so it sits flat in
baking dish. In medium bowl, mix cereal, spices, butter, sugar,
nuts and raisins/currants. Stuff the apples with mixture and bake
until apples are tender or about 30-35 minutes. Serve them hot
with vanilla cream.
