4 McIntosh Apples (med size) 2/3C Grape Nuts Cereal 1/2t Cinnamon 1/4t Nutmeg 2T Brown Sugar 2T Cold Butter (cubed) 1/3C Walnuts (chopped) 2T Currants or Raisins Vanilla Ice Cream Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut out around the stems of the apples, and scoop out the inside to about half way down the apple removing core and seeds. Cut off the bottom of the apple so it sits flat in baking dish. In medium bowl, mix cereal, spices, butter, sugar, nuts and raisins/currants. Stuff the apples with mixture and bake until apples are tender or about 30-35 minutes. Serve them hot with vanilla cream.
