2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 egg, well beaten 1 c. whole berry cranberry sauce 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add buttermilk, egg and cranberry sauce. Stir well (do not beat). Stir in nuts. Spoon batter into a well-greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until bread tests done. Yield: 1 loaf.
