1 pkg. yellow cake mix (can use any flavor)
1/4 c. water
1/4 butter or margarine, softened
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Combine half the cake mix (dry mix), water, eggs, butter and
brown sugar in mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly. Blend in remaining
cake mix. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in greased and
floured jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch). Dough will be
thick and hard to spread. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool
and cut into bars. Serves 30.
