2 sticks margarine 4 sq. unsweetened baking chocolate 4 eggs 1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. broken nutmeats (optional) 2 c. sugar 1 heaping tsp. baking powder Topping: 1 stick margarine 4 sq. unsweetened baking chocolate 1 small can evaporated milk 1 large pkg. miniature marshmallows 1 lb. powdered sugar 1 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. vanilla Melt margarine and chocolate in double boiler. In a bowl, beat eggs thoroughly. Gradually add sugar, flour and baking powder to egg mixture. Add melted chocolate. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Spread mixture in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch sheet pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cook topping in the same pot used for melting chocolate. Do not wash. Melt margarine and chocolate over simmering water. Add evaporated milk and sugar. Cook slowly. Remove brownies from oven and cover top immediately with marshmallows. To the mixture in double boiler, add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth. Pour over marshmallows while still hot. Let stand in pan overnight.
