1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir
in peanut butter. Add dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with
back of floured fork to make crisscross. Bake at 350 degrees for 9
minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
