SOFT ORANGE COOKIES

1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sour milk (1 c. milk plus 1 tsp. lemon juice)
1/2 c. orange juice
3 tsp. orange peel
4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Frosting:
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
2 Tbsp. orange juice
2 tsp. orange peel
powdered sugar (to thicken)

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour and milk
alternately and mix well. Chill and drop from teaspoon onto
greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
