BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES

1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add well beaten eggs.
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and vanilla and add to
mixture. Make into a loaf and refrigerate overnight. Slice thinly.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
