1/2 c. margarine 1 1/4 c. oats 1 c. packed light brown sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 1 egg In a 2-quart saucepan over low heat, melt margarine. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients until well blended. Remove saucepan from heat. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour large cookie sheet. Drop cookie mixture by rounded teaspoon 3-inches apart. Bake 8 minutes or until well browned around edge (centers will be lighter). Cool on baking sheet. Remove to wire rack to cool. Makes 4 dozen.
