1 c. butter (no substitutes) 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract Combine butter, sugar and extract until fluffy (5 minutes with an electric mixer). Slow mixer and dump flour all at once. Beat on high for 10 minutes. This is what makes them melt in your mouth! Drop by teaspoon on an ungreased cookie sheet.
