1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. plus 1/2 c. powdered sugar
50 maraschino cherries

Mix butter, syrup, salt, vanilla and powdered sugar. Shape
around each cherry. Chill 24 hours. Dip in melted chocolate.
