1/2 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. soda 1 c. sour milk 1/2 c. cocoa and 1/3 c. hot water, mixed Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients, alternating with sour milk. Blend in cocoa mixture. Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans. Divide cake mix in each pan. Bake in a 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes.
