1 c. granulated sugar 1 stick margarine 1 egg 1 medium can fruit cocktail 1 c. coconut 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. nuts Cream granulated sugar and margarine and beat. Add egg and beat again. Add fruit cocktail (do not drain) and continue beating. Add flour, salt and baking soda and beat well. Pour mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Mix 1/2 stick melted margarine, brown sugar, coconut and nuts. Sprinkle on top of batter and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
