1 c. quick oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 unbeaten eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 c. boiling water
Pour boiling water over quick oats and let stand for 20
minutes. Mix together sugar, shortening and eggs and add oatmeal.
Pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for
about 40 minutes.
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 c. chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
Mix well. Place on cake and return to oven approximately 5
minutes. Drizzle with icing.
