6 c. water (heat to boiling) 2 c. cornmeal 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 2 c. cold water Combine cornmeal, salt, sugar and cold water. Pour mixture into boiling water, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Cover and continue cooking 15 minutes. Can bake or chill. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Idea: Place polenta in deep pie dish.
