8 pork chops
6 to 8 potatoes
1 to 1 1/2 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
Brown both sides of chops in heavy skillet. Remove chops.
French-cut potatoes. Put potatoes in skillet; cover with water.
Lay browned chops on top of potatoes. Add salt and pepper. Cover
and simmer for about 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and most
of water is gone. Yields 4 servings.
