3 lb. round steak, cut thick 3 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. flour 4 Tbsp. shortening 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. catsup 1 c. canned tomatoes 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard 1 bay leaf Season steak with salt and pepper. Put flour into both sides of steak until all flour is taken up by the steak. Brown steak on both sides in hot shortening. Blend remaining ingredients and pour over steak. Cover and cook slowly at 300 degrees or 275 degrees for 2 hours or until steak is tender.
