1 lb. ground chuck 1 medium onion, chopped 1 (10 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes 1 (16 oz.) can chili hot beans 1 tsp. chili powder salt and pepper to taste Brown ground chuck with onion in large, heavy skillet, stirring until ground beef is crumble; drain. Add corn, tomatoes, beans, chili powder, salt and pepper; mix well. Simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon into 2-quart baking dish. Spread topping over casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until brown. Yields 6 servings. Topping for Corn Pone Casserole: 1 c. self-rising cornmeal 1 egg 2/3 c. milk Combine cornmeal, egg and milk in bowl; mix until smooth.
