1/2 lb. butter or 1/2 lb. margarine 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla or black walnut flavoring 1/2 tsp. rum flavoring 3 c. cake flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. cream or half and half or 1 c. milk 1 c. chopped black walnut meats or 1 c. chopped pecans Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar and beat until very light. Add whole eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flavorings and beat again. Add flour, mixed with baking powder, alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour. Fold in walnuts. Bake in tube pan that has been greased and floured.
