1 1/4 c. sifted regular flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. mixed candied fruit 1 c. slivered almonds 1/2 c. candied cherries 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder 1 c. golden raisins 1 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. chopped candied pineapple 1/2 c. butter or margarine 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together into a bowl. Add remaining ingredients, except butter, sugar and eggs. Mix until fruit and nuts are well coated. Set aside. Beat butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well after each addition. Blend in fruit mixture. Mix well. Spoon into a greased and wax paper lined 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
