1 c. butter 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. buttermilk plus 1 tsp. soda 2 c. nuts 1 Tbsp. orange juice 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 lb. orange candy 1/2 lb. dates 1 c. shredded coconut Mix 1 cup flour with nuts, candy, dates and coconut, then set aside. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Add alternately buttermilk and remaining 2 1/2 cups flour. Add orange juice and fold in fruit and nut mixture. Pour into greased tube cake pan.
