Take fat and cut into small pieces. Pour cooking grease into
washpot and put fat into pot. Stir and continue to stir until it
is golden brown. Add a little baking soda just before done to
help brown cracklings. When done, strain fat pieces and let cool.
Place lard in 50-pound lard bucket. (Purchase from local feed
and grain/hardware store.)
