1 1/4 c. plain flour 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 1/4 c. milk 2 Tbsp. shortening Mix dry ingredients together. Beat egg. Add milk and shortening. Add to flour mixture. Pour butter on hot griddle. Turn pancakes when bubbles appear. Yields 16.
