1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 c. white sugar
1 pinch salt
1/3 c. boiling water
3 1/2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. half-and-half cream
Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Blend in boiling
water. Bring the mixture to a boil while you stir. Simmer and
stir for about 2 minutes. Stir in milk and heat until hot, but not
boiling. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into 4 mugs.
(Add half-and-half to bring the drink to a comfortable temperature
