1/2 lb. ground beef
2 c. hot water
3/4 c. potatoes, chopped
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
pinch of basil
Brown beef slowly in oil in a heavy skillet. Add onions and cook 5
minutes. Add the rest of ingredients except for tomatoes. Bring
to a boil and cover.
Simmer 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and, if necessary, add more water.
Simmer 10 minutes longer.
