3 lb.whole frying chicken
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
Wash chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle cavity with salt, pepper, and
poultry seasoning. Place on aluminum foil and sprinkle with basil.
Wrap in foil and place in 12-inch Dutch oven. Cover and bake at
350 degrees for 4 hours or until tender. (can also be cooked in a fire
