BOUEF ELEGANTE

(a Swenson family favorite since 1970)

1 pkg. (8-9 oz.) fine noodles, cooked
1 lb. ground beef, browned
1 small clove garlic, crushed
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
2 8-oz. cans tomato sauce
1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
several green onions with tops, chopped
1/2 c. grated cheddar or American cheese

Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside. Add
garlic, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce to browned ground beef and
simmer for 15 minutes. Mix together cream cheese, onions, and sour
cream.

In a 2-quart greased casserole dish, layer noodles then cream cheese
mixture, then sauce (there is enough to make 3 layers of each).
Top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
