3 small cans or 1 large can Pork & Beans (Bush original baked beans are good) 1 large onion, chopped 2 Tbsp. Dijon or yellow mustard 2-3 Tbsp. brown sugar about 1/3 c. ketchup 1/4 c. molasses (Grandma's is good) 1-2 tsp. chili powder about 1/4 c. bourbon (optional - the alcohol burns off but the flavor stays) 1/4 c. water (can add more during cooking if the beans get too thick) Mix all ingredients together and cook slowly in 250 degrees oven for about 4 hours. Can also be cooked at a little higher temperature for faster cooking. The ingredients can be adjusted to taste. This can also be made a day ahead of cooking and kept refrigerated.
