1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal 1/2 c. flour 1 Tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 4-oz. can chopped green chili 1 16-oz. can cream style corn 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 c. vegetable oil Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Add chiles, corn, and egg. Mix until blended. Put oil in an 8-inch iron skillet; then put skillet in 400 degrees oven for 5 minutes. Add corn bread mixture and bake for 25 minutes or until brown on top.
