1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 15-oz. can fruit cocktail 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. nuts, chopped Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in egg and fruit cocktail. Slowly stir in sugar and mix well. Pour into a greased 8x10-inch pan and top with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until a wooden toothpick come out clean when inserted in the center. Let cool on racks. Cut into squares. Serve with whipped cream or yogurt. (This freezes well.)
