1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1 3/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
12-oz. chocolate chips
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand at room temperature for
10 minutes. Add brown and white sugars and margarine. Stir until
margarine melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add remaining dry
ingredients. Mix well. Add 1/2 chocolate chips.
Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips
on top and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
