4 Tbsp. baking soda (or 1 Tbsp. for smaller amount) 1 gallon boiling water (or 1 qt. for smaller amount) Place a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of a non-aluminum metal pan. Put silver items on top of foil. Cover with baking soda/water solution. Let it stand until tarnish is removed. Rinse and dry. Buff to a shine. (Karen covers the pot because the water has a sulphur smell.) Do NOT on silver that has glue.
