1 1/2 c. (6 to 8 oz.) black olives* 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1/4 tsp. curry powder (optional) 3 oz. shredded Parmesan cheese or 1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 1/2 c. green onions, thinly sliced party rye bread or 6 English muffins, quartered *A combination of ripe and green olives may be used. Drain and finely chop olives; combine with cheese and onions. Moisten mixture with mayonnaise; add curry powder, if desired. For a small group, spread the mixture on party rye bread or quartered English muffins. Place under broiler until bubbly and golden brown (about 3 minutes). For a large group, place mixture in an oven to warm using a low heat setting. Transfer to a chafing dish or crock-pot. Serve with crackers.
