2 cans (1 lb. 4 oz.) pineapple chunks (undrained)
1/2 c. cider vinegar
24 whole cloves
1/2 c. sugar
peel of 2 lemons, cut in strips with vegetable peeler
6 sticks (3-inch) cinnamon
1 small jar maraschino cherries, well drained (optional; for color)
Mix all ingredients. Store in refrigerator for 2 weeks in a covered
container to develop flavor. Keeps well and improves with time.
