2 c. dry bean soup mix
12 oz. lean ham, diced
1 large onion, chopped
2 qt. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes with chilies
Wash beans; place in slow cooker. Cover with water 2-inches above
beans; soak overnight. Drain and discard liquid. Add ham, onion,
garlic and 2 quarts water to beans. Cover and cook on low for 7
hours. Add tomatoes; cook on low 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
