1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh or frozen cranberries 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar 1/2 c. fresh orange juice 1 c. peeled and chopped Gala apples or Bartlett pears 1 c. chopped fresh pineapple 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery 1/2 c. chopped toasted walnuts or pecans Bring cranberries, brown sugar and orange juice to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often. Reduce heat to simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries pop and mixture thickens, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Stir in apples/pears, pineapple, celery and walnuts/pecans. Transfer to a serving bowl; cover and chill overnight. Keeps well for several days.
