4 c. fresh broccoli florets, washed* 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt, divided 3 Tbsp. butter 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese *Frozen broccoli can be substituted for fresh. Prepare broccoli according to package directions. Place broccoli in large saucepan. Cover broccoli with water; add 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt. Bring water to a boil over high heat on stove top. Reduce heat to low and cook for approximately 8 minutes until fork-tender; drain. While broccoli is cooking, melt butter in another saucepan over low heat on stove top. Whisk in flour and remaining 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, whisking occasionally. Add milk, whisking constantly, until well blended. Increase heat to medium, whisking often. When sauce begins to thicken slightly, add cream cheese. Whisk until well blended and cream cheese melts. Pour sauce over warm broccoli, or serve on the side.
