BREAKFAST PUFFINS

1/3 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
about 1/2 c. sugar
tsp. of cinnamon

Mix shortening, sugar and egg. Blend flour, baking powder, salt and
nutmeg. Add flour mixture and milk. Spray muffin pan; fill 2/3
full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. While muffins bake, melt
butter; combine sugar and cinnamon. When muffins are done,
immediately roll muffin in melted butter and then in sugar and
cinnamon mixture. Serve warm. Will take at least 1 stick butter,
1/2 cup sugar and teaspoon of cinnamon.
