KATHY'S JALAPENO CORN BREAD

1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. flour
1 can creamed corn
1 egg
3 to 5 jalapeno peppers, sliced
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use jalapeno peppers sparingly, unless you
prefer very hot corn bread. Mix ingredients well. Pour into greased
skillet or oblong pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until done.
