3 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1 c. butter, softened 1 c. strawberry jam 1 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. lemon juice 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. soda Combine flour, salt and cream of tartar; set aside. Combine sugar, butter, vanilla and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl; cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir together jam and buttermilk; add to creamed mixture alternately with dry mixture until just well blended. Stir in nuts. Pour in 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
