1 1/4 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking power 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, separated 1 c. milk 2 Tbsp. butter, melted Mix and sift dry ingredients. Combine well beaten egg yolk and milk; add to dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Add butter. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Bake on hot waffle iron. Makes 3 waffles. Recipe may be doubled. May sprinkle with crisp bacon pieces, nuts or berries for variety.
