CARL BRACK'S CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE

1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix
3 eggs
3/4 c. water
1 stick butter

Mix cake with eggs and butter; add water. Put equally in 5 (1-inch)
pans with sides. Slightly spray pans with oil. Bake at 350 degrees until
brown and spongy.

Icing:
1 small can Carnation milk
1 stick butter
2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
1 1/2 c. pecans

In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, chocolate and butter; mix with mixer.
Boil about 10 minutes. Keep stirred. Remove cake from pans. Cover
with icing one at a time. Sprinkle chopped pecans on each layer. I
prefer slightly roasted pecans.
