1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 medium egg 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar; blend in egg. In a separate bowl, stir together salt, baking powder and flour; add to sugar mixture. Blend in vanilla and almond. Dough can be rolled flat to use with cookie cutters, or made into a log to cut circles off of. Recommend placing in refrigerator for 3 hours or overnight to make slicing circles/cutouts easier. Circles can be dipped into colored sugar before baking, or brush on a glaze after baking while cookies are still warm. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes. Edges should be lightly browned. This recipe is from an actual cookbook printed by Fundcraft Publishing! 1,000,000+ free recipes and free software at: Cookbooks.com!
